[This service must have had a rather interesting advertising campaign, given how apparently everyone's anonymously arranging blind dates for their friends. Justin doesn't mind - this isn't something he'd do himself, but it's not a bad idea - he just wishes he knew who signed him up.
He showed up at the park quite a bit early, and by the time any date might arrive, he's thoroughly absorbed in his notebook, putting down incomprehensible shorthand notes on the medium- and long-term social integration of this idea. Yes, this is the kind of thing he does in his free time.
Hopefully the flower next to him on the bench will be enough to identify him, because having left gender and most other things unspecified in the little pre-date questionnaire (assuming anyone even looks at those things), he has absolutely no idea who might show up.]
*walks up with the paper, looking over to see if she's got the right person* Hello?
*looks up with a distracted smile, but pretty quickly remembers what he was actually here for*
*judging by what she's wearing, she's probably the right person* Blind date, I suppose?
I guess so -- ahaha, I mean yes! I'm Mimino Kurumi.
*stands up, holds out his hand* I'm Justin Walker. Nice to meet you.
*a little embarrassed* ...which one is your first name? *her name sounds unusual enough that it might be in the reverse naming order, but he's not sure, and it's probably better to ask*
*shakes* Kurumi. It's in Phonetic Common. *Or whichever alphabets and languages they use in TST. I'm handwaving here.*
Kurumi. *nods, smiles*
Do you live around here? What do you do?
I'm a blacksmith. I mostly do ship repairs, but I know how to do other things, too. *She totally thinks that being vague makes her sound mysterious.*
[Naminé had been coaxed into trying this, though she wasn't exactly keen on the idea-- how could she be sure that the person wouldn't be a kidnapper or something?
So when she saw the person sitting on the bench, she had to laugh a little.]
[He laughs along with her. It is an amusing coincidence. He certainly doesn't mind, and he's curious how she's doing with this whole dating thing. Hopefully no bad luck yet. She's a sweet girl.]
How are you liking this blind date system so far? Did you sign up yourself, or someone else did?
[She seats herself on the bench, shaking her head.]
Someone told me to sign up. I didn't know you had signed up too, though. Were you hoping for someone else?
[Moves over a bit, and puts his notebook away.]
Someone else signed me up, actually - I just wish I knew who! I thought I might as well go along with it, maybe meet some people. Nothing serious.
How about you?
I'm about the same...except some people coaxed me into signing up.
Well, have you been enjoying yourself so far?
Well, I like talking to you, so yes, I am!
